We will meet our tour guide and driver at our hotel then leave Hoi An for the world heritage of My Son by an air conditioned minibus at 08:00 and arrive there after 1 hour. Start exploring the temples and towers here 1+1/2 hours with our English speaking tour guide, taking photos of beautiful surroundings and the site itself , then enjoy the Cham dance performed at a small indoor theatre before getting on the minibus and drive to the local market to buy and learn the ingredients for our cooking class on board. This is the very good opportunity for us to experience the colorful local market, interact with local buyers and sellers.

Make a visit to the pottery village of Thanh Ha observing the steps of making a pottery product: vase, pot, kettle, cooking pot. Get on board at 12:30. Another experience begins as we board the Cinnamon Cruises, one of the hosts will seat us at our private table. Relax with a beverage, some snack and we are all treated to an herbal foot massage. Participating in the cooking class on board after we get refreshed. Be sure to bring along our camera to capture the spectacular monument views while cruising back to Hoi An.

The cooking lesson runs for 2 hours and we will cook the same dish ourselves after the Cinnamon Cruises chef demonstrate each dish. We sit down at our private tables and eat what we have cooked. After the meal, we cruise back to Hoai riverside and on our return to the Cinnamon Cruises pier, the crew will wish us farewell. The tour ends around 14:30 and we can spend the rest of our day to visit Hoi An or do shopping.

Lunch
An extra dish is freshly prepared by our chef and served directly on board beside the 4 dishes that you have cooked.
Special diet wishes are no problem, as everything is prepared fresh.

Below you can find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about Cinnamon Cruises. If you need further assistance, or information that cannot be found on this site, please contact Cinnamon Cruises Reservations.

What is the normal cruise route?
The cruises will mainly take place in the rivers of Hoi An, Hoai river and Thu Bon river and the cruise goes up the river.

Is there a tour guide on board?
No, there is no tour guide, this is a sailing restaurant and not a guided tour. We have chosen for a relaxed and private setting, with some background music. The idea is that you will be able to enjoy the views, the food and drinks and your company without being interrupted all the time by a tour guide. However, if you are interested in some information during the cruise our staff can tell you more about the city and the scenery.

Is there pre-assigned seating?
As you board, our captain and crew will direct you to your seats. There is no pre-assigned seating, so you can choose from the still available seats. All tables have a good view outside.

Do we always get a private table?
Yes. We will prepare a private table for you based on the number of tickets you purchase.

Can I reserve a specific table?
Yes, it is possible. Due to the fact that the exact table configuration depends on the different group sizes of the people making reservations we can therefore guarantee a table at a specific location on the boat.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
We do offer the option to reschedule. If you contact us at the latest minimal 5 days (120 hours) before the cruise starts, you can reschedule to a date of your choice (subject to availability) at no cost. If you need to cancel and do so minimal 7 days before the cruise date, we will refund your tickets minus US$ 10 per ticket (processing and administration fee). Less than 5 days before the cruise date refunding or rescheduling is not possible anymore. Please always let us know of your cancellation however, as we might be able to do something for you anyway (we can not guarantee this however).

I do not have a credit card. Can I make reservations?
Yes, you can also buy tickets at our ticket office at 124 Tran Phu str, Hoi An city or on board. A reservation may be made there in cash.
I tried to book with a credit card, but my payment was refused. What does that mean?
If you got the message “Your payment was refused” this means your credit card issuer did not allow the payment. If you contact your credit card issuer they will be able to inform you about the reason why it was refused.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
When buying your tickets online, you can print them out at home. You will be sent an email which can be used as your ticket. When buying tickets at our office you will be handed the tickets at the moment of buying.

I did not receive an email after I bought the tickets online
The email is always sent to you automatically. If you did not receive the email it is possible that you have entered the wrong email address or the email ended up in your SPAM/JUNK MAIL box. Please contact us by email if you did not receive any email, we will then send you a copy. Alternatively you can also just mention the name under which you have made the reservation when you arrive at the boat.

About the dinner cruise: is the dinner freshly prepared or is it prepared before the cruise and kept warm?
All the food is freshly prepared, we do not use any precooked food. At the moment you have made your choices from the menu, the chef will start preparing the food. The food is prepared at a high quality / fine dining river cruise restaurant. Every course of the dinner will be picked up at the restaurant. The courses will be served out to you directly from the kitchen onto the boat, so everything is as fresh as can be.

I am a vegetarian, can I also join the cruises?
Yes, on the dinner cruise menu there are vegetarian dishes you can choose.
I have special dietary requirements, is that also possible? (Eg. gluten free etc)
Yes, as all the food is freshly prepared we can cater for your dietary requirements and allergies including gluten free.

Where does the boat dock and depart from?
Cinnamon Cruises docks and departs from the Pier opposite 76 Bach Dang. The departure location is also the end point of the cruise.

Are there also cruises in winter?
Yes, Cinnamon Cruises will cruise in most weather conditions all-year round. The front deck can be opened in summer, which is a great experience.

What if it rains?
Cinnamon Cruises will cruise in most weather conditions all-year round. The boat has roof and the weather will not affect your cruise.

What if the cruise is cancelled?
In the case of an unforeseen event, due to which the cruise can not take place, you can choose to reschedule or to receive a full refund.

May I bring my own camera on board?
Guests are more than welcome to bring their own camera for personal pictures aboard the boat.
